Citizens of the Schengen countries, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the Kingdom of Brunei can visit the United States for up to 90 days without applying for a visa (as well as citizens of Andorra, Lichtenstein, Monaco and San Marino). Citizens of these countries must obtain an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) before traveling. All other travelers must obtain a visa before visiting the United States. International travelers need a passport that is valid for at least 3 months after the end of their intended trip in order to enter the country.

Plan your trip to St. Louis during the spring or the fall. In spring, especially in April and May, the city blooms, if you love food or art, there are also plenty of events and popular festivals in May (for example, the St. Louis Microfest and the Art Fair at Laumeier Sculpture Park). In the fall, especially in September and October, temperatures may have finally cooled and the city will be ready to host a lot of different events: one of the most important is the Big Muddy Blues Festival, for those who like enjoying concerts and drinking with friends.

Public transport in St. Louis is managed by MetroLink and MetroBus. MetroLink is one of the best mass transit systems in the country and it provides easy access to the main attractions. Its system has two lines, red and blue, and trams usually run every 10 or 15 minutes, depending on the time of the day. MetroBus serves the many municipalities in the city of St. Louis.
